I'm having trouble getting this plugin working. here's what it's outputting: http://twitter.com/myconfinedspace

Also, it's only outputting that on posts that I manually publish and not the ones that are scheduled for the future, which is about 99/100 of the posts that I do.

Thanks, that did the job... I think that I was confused about that check mark originally -- I thought that it toggled whether the tweet would go through the main account in addition to the personal account. I thought that just by putting in my credentials it would start going through the personal account.

Thanks again

Hi Michael,

Did you check the checkbox for 'Share new blog posts'?

Hi Timan --

I just installed Twitter Publisher and it looks great. However, I was really excited about the ability for each author to publish to their own twitter account. After installing, I see a place for each author to enter their own user credentials, but if I post as that author, only the main twitter account specified in settings tweets the post. Is there something that I am missing?

I tried setting up my author's account as the main account to test if it was working, and it works fine that way, so I know the account is ok.

Thank you for this great plugin,
Michael

Did you have a look at Twitter Tools by Alex King? Twitter Tools is a plugin that creates a complete integration between your WordPress blog and your Twitter account. It can digest Tweets into posts or make a post of every Tweet. It can also Tweet new articles and takes into account which new posts are actually already Tweets.

Another way to do it is modify the plugin which posts your Tweet to include a metadata record 'twipub_tweeted=1', so Twitter Publisher knows the post has already been tweeted. I will add your feature request to my TODO list, but have yet no idea when or if I will implement it.

Rather than me hacking in a fix to the version of Twitter Publisher that I'm using, I'd rather submit to you a feature request. Would it be possible to include a word filter on your next version?

Basically, for one of my blogs, I would like to be able to automatically repost any tweets I make. Now, if I have Twitter Publisher installed and running, this would cause it to send a new tweet upon posting the original tweet. Sounds like a recipe for infinite loop disaster.

Adding a filter, such as only tweeting posts which do not include the "Tweet prefix" would probably be enough. Just a thought.
